Noah's Notes
Noah's Notes

Dear CAVA,

WOW! We did it! We moved into the new Gallery, and have an excellent show on exhibit. If you haven’t seen it yet, please try to stop by. If you are not a current member please join us as we explore Art in our new studios. Half of the $66, 483.00 has been spent on all the things we need to be a first class learning center.

I want to thank all of you who have been so faithful and helpful in making the transition as smooth as it was. My thanks to the entire board for their countless hours of hard work, and in providing the leadership we need for such a major leap ahead.

We are still in need of volunteers to man the gallery. This is a volunteer organization, and we rely on each of you to provide time and talent for all that we do. It is also part of an agreement, that when you pay your dues, you agree to serve as a volunteer sometime during the year. We have an absolutely marvelous new space, and in order to keep it that way we each have to do our part.

We will try to have a general membership meeting the first Tuesday of the month, and if you are interested in taking classes or in teaching a class contact Dianne Barnhill or me, and we will work on scheduling you in. We have four classes available for November, and we are in the process of making a calendar for the whole year. If you are interested in Gallery Sitting, we have a training program and guide sheet to make that an easy thing to do. Please think about a block of time you could volunteer. It may be a week, or a day, or part of a day. Anytime you have to give will be most appreciated.

I am so grateful to be CAVA’s President, and hope as the years go by we will reflect back on this time as the re-awakening of culture in Gaffney. My thanks to all of you for making my job a pleasure.

Sincerely yours,

Noah Lindemann

CAVA President 2010-2011
